A to Z: S is for Scary

I love scary movies.  I watch a lot of them, always have. After starting to live with my husband, I was fortunate he was a fan of them as well.

A lot of movies stand out at me for various reasons. Poltergeist and It are the reason of hate clowns to this day.  I love (and my hubby’s fave too) are the Nightmare On Elm Street series, although I liked the new one and he wasn’t a fan. We also both enjoy the Evil Dead series, even the new remake.

We watch a lot of movies on Netflix. We’ve found some movies we forgot about and a few hidden gems. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d go with The House On Haunted Hill, the remake, not the original from the sixties. The Haunting Of Hill House is another one I’ve seen repeatedly. They came out about the same time, and I like them. The latter was probably the last time I’ve enjoyed a movie with Liam Neeson.

It’s not that the movies scare me really, a few have made me turn my head in disgust, but I seem to be that weird person that likes watching both supernatural forces at work and people getting fake killed for the sake of cinematic thrills.

Here’s a list of some scary movies I like:

The House On Haunted Hill
The Haunting Of Hill House
A Nightmare On Elm Street series
The Ring
It
Resident Evil series
Saw series
Oculous
House Of A 1000 Corpses
Evil Dead series
Dracula 2000
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
Stigmata
Carrie (both original and remake)
Pet Semetary
Misery
The Shining
Shaun Of The Dead
Psycho
Silent Hill

I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting, but you get the picture.
